Covid-19 Vaccination Protocols

The Western Zone executive met on August 30, 2021 and have determined that in order to comply with the national protocol, and to provide a safe environment for both patrollers and patrons, the vaccination policy for the Western Zone membership for the 2021-2022 season will be as follows.
1 - All returning patrollers registering in the Western Zone for the 2021-2022 season must be fully (twice) vaccinated in order to patrol. Proof of vaccination will be required prior to starting an IYU or recertification course, as applicable.
Those who are not fully vaccinated may register, but will not be allowed to patrol, until they provide proof of full vaccination.
2 – New candidates must be fully vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination prior to or at the start of the first class.
Any person who registered on or before the date of this
notification, but is not able to or willing to comply with this policy is encouraged
to take a sabbatical or they may request a refund.
The deadline for requesting a change to sabbatical or refund must be submitted
to the VP of Administration no later than October 20.
Anyone registering after the date of this notification is acknowledging that they are fully vaccinated or will be by the date of their recertification.
